If you were a ‘90s or ’00s kid and loved to play with Polly Pocket, then Lime Crime’s new makeup palettes are for you. Three new palettes from beauty brand Lime Crime were inspired by the pocket-sized doll and the plastic snap playsets she played in.
The Pocket Candy Palettes line is available in three colorful snap cases inspired by minuscule fashion doll of the 1990s and early 21st century. Even the font used on the makeup palettes will remind ‘00s kids of their nostalgic adventures with Polly and her friends Crissy, Lea, Lili, Rick, and Shani.
The Pink Lemonade palette comes in the yellow snap case, the Sugar Plum palette comes in the bright pink snap case, and the Bubblegum palette comes in the blue snap case. Pink Lemonade’s shades are gold shimmer, strawberry pink, rose pink, pink-brown, and chocolate brown. Sugar Plum’s colors include frosted white, iridescent lavender-turquoise, pink-purple, pink-bronze, and chestnut brown. Bubblegum’s pastel-influenced tones are sky blue, baby violet, peach Champagne, cotton candy pink, and toasted nude.
Lime Crime’s Pocket Candy Palettes retail for $34 each or $90 for all three. The line premiered on September 19, 2017. Certified cruelty-free and completely vegan, Lime Crime’s palettes include high-quality eye colors and cheek colors. All of Lime Crime’s Pocket Candy Palettes are made in the U.S.A.
Polly Pocket started out as a one-of-a-kind toy Chris Wiggs made for his daughter. Appropriately enough, he used an old powder compact as the setting for a tiny doll house. Now Polly Pocket has come full circle, from a tiny fashion doll in a powder compact to toys to video games, three animated movies, a Web series, and back to the makeup case again.
