Bandai Model Kit World Cup

Bandai Model Kit World Cup is an international modeling competition officially sanctioned and managed by BANDAI to give modelers the opportunity to show their works and to encourage new modelers. The international Bandai Model Kit World Cup Final event is held in Hong Kong in December 2010 and winners from this website will be invited to this prestigious international competition to represent North America.

Below is a list of our current contests:

To compete in the Bandai Model Kit World Cup Online Contest, you must first register as a member of the Bandai Model Kit World Cup family. Click here (or click on the "Register" button at the top of the page) to sign up now! Once you are registered, follow the "Upload Photos" link to create an entry and upload photos of your finished model. After you've uploaded your model, go to the "Contests" page and use the easy drop-down menus to enter your model in the Bandai Model Kit World Cup Semi-Final.

Registered modelers may upload unaltered photographs of their Bandai kits for entry into the Bandai Model Kit World Cup Contest. Modelers must be a resident of North America to be eligible for participation in this contest. Once a model entry is uploaded, other modelers can vote on the model and leave comments. At the end of each month, a panel of judges will review all submitted entries and announce the winners of the Bandai Model Kit World Cup for that month. Winners of the Bandai Model Kit World Cup Semi-Final are automatically entered for a chance to compete at the Bandai Model Kit World Cup Final in Hong Kong and meet the Masked BAKUC himself!

- Open Category: Trip and accomodation for 3 nights and 4 days to attend Bandai Model Kit World Cup Final in Hong Kong (*based on flight availability from winner's location) Please note: Final and trip generally occurs over NA Christmas holiday so winner should be prepared to travel during holiday.
- Junior Category: TBA

Participants

Open (Age :15 years old and above) living in USA/Canada
Junior (Age : 14 years old and below) living in USA/Canada

Judgment Criteria

Total 300 Points; breakdown as follows:

PAINTING (How well the painting was done; Line paint, Body decoration)
MODIFICATION (Improvement from original design; Other parts usage, Remodeling)
CREATIVITY (Originality and Diorama; Posing, Coloring, Concept, World)

Bandai Model Kit World Cup Online Moderators Group (25%)
Bandai Model Kit World Cup Online Public Rank (25%)

Limitations

Maximum size of model display not to exceed a length of 500mm, width of 500mm, height of 500mm. (If production is over the above size, can not enter this contest.)
BANDAI Product is to be used.
You are to bring your model with you for the finals display; You take model back with you when you leave Hong Kong.
