1:144 No Grade Providence Gundam

Painted with Citadel Foundation and Acrylic paints and finished with Gunze Gundam Marker

It's been a while since Citadel released their Foundation range and I'd heard a lot of good things about coverage. One of the things I find with the No Grade range is that the parts need an awful lot of cleaning and sanding to take paint in comparison to High or Master grade kits, so this No Grade Providence gave me a great opportunity to try them out.

The paints take pretty nicely straight over plastic, and it has to be said they smell a bit funny while they're wet xD, but they stay on very well even on un-sanded areas unlike a lot of other ranges. Also the Astronomican Grey makes an excellent prime and can take most colours straight over it without much discolouration.

I dropped the shield/beam saber unit for two reasons. Firstly...and this is the big one, I left the polycap out of the arm it's supposed to attach too. D'oh. Secondly, I'd been hmming and hahing about putting it on anyway, as the NG version is a bit stunted looking. So I left it off.

I took fairly limited photos here as the kit is pretty impossible to pose in an exciting fashion.
