Macross VF 25F Sheryl Nome Custom  Discussions »
Inspired by the few episodes where there were hints that Sheryl Nome would become a pilot.

I need to learn to be a lot more patient if I want to tackle another transforming mech. This one is very scratched up, so no close-ups. I also had a lot of trouble transforming it so I think its going to be permanently stuck in jet mode, which luckily is my favourite mode anyway.

There are a few shots of it in gerwalk mode before the decalling.

I would definately appreciate anyone's tips on how to protect against chipping on a transforming mecha.

Thank you for all the comments everyone! Funaka, I used Tamiya acrylics with a few coats of Future. I'll give the lacquers a shot. Thanks!

Fantastic color scheme, I'm going to get one of these kits really soon... As far as scratching, what kind of paint do you use? I've recently started using Mr. Color lacquers and find that lacquers resist scratching much better. Still I plan to not transform my valkyrie other than to take a set of pics in each mode, and assume I'll probably need to do touch-ups between modes.

Clear coat the kit with Future Floor Polish or sprays from Michael's before you play with it. That is an easy way to keep it from being scratched. Great job on an awesome kit!

Thanks for the comments! Smeagolthevile, the kit was a lot of fun but I had trouble with it. As it transformed it would chip paint. Because it transforms not all the pieces fit snuggly because they have to move during transformation. This may have happened tho, because I rushed through the kit (to the point, if I can find it for a good price I'd try again with more time).

That is very impressive, you did a great job. Let me ask, how are these kits, any seam problems, fitting problems? How do they fall together?
