This was supposedly a knock off of the PG Strike using the 1/60 Real Detail Strike. But one day I had an enlightenment of making a Musha version of the Strike Gundam. So, here goes. If there are any questions, feel free to ask, ok, Guys. ^-^
1. Base: 1/60 Strike Gundam Real Detail
2. Concept/ Inspiration: Shin Musha Gundam
3. Head: Original Strike, add some cheek fins from leftover parts from Strike’s feet cover.
4. Shoulders: Bulk em up w/ putty, add Zoids (eagle type) claws on the side of the shoulders, add leftover round & square sprues to imitate gold tubes on the Shin Musha. Front shoulder protectors are from the 1/100 master Gundam, add aluminium plates on the back side to cover the casting imperfections & custom dragon stickers on the front.
5. Shield: Original Strike RD, just add pointy parts by using plastic plates & putty. Add square gold tube & custom made green dragon sticker.
6. Katana Sword: Letter opener. lol
7. Chest, body: Add some plastic plates & leftovers chrome parts from used USB hub for details & bulk up. Rear Chrome Thrusters are option parts.
8. Trisep/ Upper arm: Add alotta putty & plastic plates to bulk up.
9. Lower arm, shoulders, lower leg: Made gaps to imitate the gaps on the PG Strike. Add chrome tube to imitate hydraulic joints.
10. Waist: Cut & trim the sides to make it slimmer. Fill the inner side waist protectors w/ putty for detail.
11. Crotch: Cut the joints for the thighs & have em lowered about 1 cm to make it taller & slimmer.
12. Feet: Cut & lowered the side feet protectors about 1 cm to make it seem taller. Add white cover for the rear foot joint to imitate PG Strike. Cut the feet in half & trim it 1 cm to lose the beefy feet & make em slim & pointy.
13. Power Blade: From Zoids (insect type) horn & MG Gelgoog’s beam Naginata handle.
14. Paint work: Custom, the purple seems to be a little mushy I think (shucks!). Stickers are custom made from transparent label tags, since I haven’t figure out how to make custom decals) lol Designs are Japanese family crests, to give it a traditional look. Add some extra panel lining too.
15. Errors: Scratches due to impatience snap & fit, linings are out of proportions here & there. And I accidentally kicked on the darn thing just after I finished it, but no biggie, fixable. ^o^
NUUU IMAGES, YAY!!! XD
