Thanks for the reply. I really like how you use three different colors to weather spots.

Man thanks for the comment on my Zeta. I want to try to weather like you; it looks so real. Any tips?

I want your imput. Im working on the F91 kit right now, if you check out the topic for it on Fine scale forum you can see im scratch building a battleship turret for it as a stand, but I dunno what to do for the inside of the turret, if I should keep it hollow... what

So you dont use washes at all now? I's only just started to really use them, I find they work great when used like drybrushing, except for recessed areas
smeagolthevile
06/08 15:50
im lookin at your Rx and the astray, and you say you are having wash problems. what type ofpaint are you using for the wash, what are you thinning it with, what type of paint are you using as a base? are you putting a top coat on before washing/

updates of your astray? how is it hmmm guess it looks really good now eh?
donc0023
04/23 18:20
Agree, agree bro...I like to induce realism in my kits also. That is why I hate the bandai stands and produce my own bases. A flatter coat for my Zaku and a dub of pastel would blend it more with the base I think. nyways, thanks bro! ;)

04/22 16:58
thanks a ton for the comments bro, ;)...I'm kinda hesitant to weather it, coz it's one of my best AB finishing thus far. ;D...and I have yet to give it a flatter flat coat( I ran out of flat coat when I was doing it ) ;)

Oh thats great that your really building, I'd love to see the choppers. I havent been building much, just a bit on and off, school is keeping me really busy. I'm on spring break right now, so im building again. I decided to take my hard graph kits and put them into a dio.
donc0023
03/03 23:26
thanks again bro for the compliments! :)...I prefer damaging kits for dioramas than sacrificing kits to mod a single kit. keep building man! :)

I'm proud of my Exia. :) I haven't had a chance to finish any models since I made it, though I'm going to try and enter the FichtenFoo 31 days contest with a Five Star Stories model. After that, I have a Kampher which needs love. :D

Dont expect anything from me anytime soon, between school and work I've been pretty bogged down, not to mention my camera is broke. But at any cost, I can't wait to see you tackle a fed mobile suit. And to answer your question, OOB means Out of Box.

Thanks for the kind words, your gallery is very nice as well. :D I do have a few Zeon kits, but I'm either unhappy with how they turned out (like my Kampfers) or they're huge projects involving a lot of work (like my Sazabi).

09/16 06:31
for smeagolthevile:the gallery is done, not all kit.it takes too many time to put all the kits i have builded. thanks for the address but i have a lot of normal kit vendors that have the material i need to scratch. trains and 1/43 autos accessories are great.

As promised here are some nice, juicy links! There american based stores, but they have great merchandise. They both ship worldwide, I checked. I know the guy who runs mechaskunk from a forum I was on previously, hes a really good guy and really accommodating. Same with starshipmodeler, there good and friendly people. http://www.starshipmodeler.biz/ http://www.mechaskunk.com/store.htm Now, with that done, If you want a place to show off all your stuff, and get feedback and such for stuff thats NOT gundam related, I suggest checking out http://cs.finescale.com/forums/

I just looked at your Flickr account. Some very nice planes. I have just started planes myself, working on a Mitsubishi zero from 1984 (this kit is 2 years older then me o.0) I think your planes are great, you should post some of your better works here (like one or two) bandai or not, just to show the folks your background, I did with my tank. With your Yamato battleship, I suggest if you do a flag, to either buy, or make your own water slide decal of said flag, instead of trying to paint it. It will come out nicer, and be easier to do. Your work with the planes really gave you some good starting skills for gunpla, your pre-shading methods are outstanding, they really give your kits a kick!

To change your class (from "Beginner"), click on the "View/Edit Profile" link at the top right. There should be an "Edit Profile" link at the top of your profile page. When you click on it, your modeling "Class" should be listed in the "Modeling Experience" section. Change it, and click "Save" at the bottom. Let me know if you still have problems!
