Bandai 1/100 MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam (flame dragon custom and SD)  Discussions »
This is the first Gundam kit I ever built and was in production for a few years between other model projects. After the Australian Open IPMS Model Expo it was smashed when I was hit by a car. Latter it was rebuilt for another show...

This was built using only the shell of the Master Grade Zeta Gundam and parts from many other models and a lot of putty...

Painting:
A mix of Mr Hobby enamels, Tamiya Acrylics, Citadel Acrylics, Citadel Inks and Gundam Liners. The model was brushed painted...

Modification:
Most of the legs, half of the body, neck, tail and wings were mostly scrached built. Many parts were cut, shaved and putty added. Also many other parts were included...

Creativity:
All I wanted to do was build a hand to hand combat dragon gundam with wings and a flame thrower. I also wanted it to be heavily battle damaged...

SD Gundam:
I used a cheap SD Gundam mark II and used putty and parts to finish the Dragon Zeta look...

Base:
Made with putty, PVA glue, war ship parts and sand...

*Note this is an older model and know the painting is not crash hot. Thank you for checking it out.*

That is the best way to use the Z (i don't like the Z) Really a great work

This is an interesting piece. I like it. The damage and weathering is overdone, but it's consistent throughout and pretty well executed, which really redeems the piece overall. For some reason, I look at it and think, "This is what the Zeta looks like if it sat in an abandoned lot in Detroit for the next five years". Looking forward to seeing more of your works!

I think this dio is working, but it still need some work. The damage is a good, sept for the V. And the pose is good for the overall feel. I must admit it's a bit strange to see the zeta gundam with zoids parts, but it gives it a certain pazzaz that shows your personal style, which is very interesting. All in all, I'd say you have a good diorama here.

About 10% of this whole kit is made buy Zoids parts. I have a few Zoids for parts but I don't know what they are...

I must disagree with one or two people... I love the look, the weathering is great, but the melted V-fin looks wrong, no offense, if anyone was strong enough to melt a hunk of metal that bad, it would have melted the area around it as well

It has dragon mods like the tail, differnt use of wings, flame thrower extra armour, thicker hull and different design cockpit and custom head piece. This is very differnt to a normal Zeta. But thanks for the comment...

I thought this Zeta was like a Dragon, & now i realized that this Zeta is actually a battle damage version of Zeta Gundam right? Great Job dude

Thank you, I got the response I wanted. Theres nothing like beefing it up, painting it pink then giving it a good beating. But I did make it befor watching Zeta Gundam and now I know why Zeta fans cry, lol. But thank you for the good feed back on my first Gundam...
