This is my second capsule toy mod. This was meant to be an experiment I would play with for a weekend and I went over board and tock a month. I'm really happy how it turned out and will enter it in 2008 Australia model expo...
This was built using 3 randomly drawn capsule toy’s, a 1/72 Zoid part, Warhammer base, wood putty, modeling putty, Rocks, sand and Evergreens Plastic's parts...
Painting:
I wanted a Warhammer look so I only used Tamiya gray primer, mixed Citadel Acrylics and Citadel Inks. The model was brush painted...
Modification:
Cleaning seams, gluing moving and attach parts, filling all mounting holes (several on each toy), scratched built the Gundams beam saber, drilled barrels holes, added extra beam saber handle and gun barrels on Gundam, grinded most parts off ball, hollowed ball so window is see though...
Creativity:
I wanted to show the darker side of the SD and how much fun you can have with cheap $2au toys. I wasn't happy with the ball so I killed it...
Base:
Modeled on a warhammer base, the platform is off a zoid the rest is rock, sand and wood putty PVA glued together...
*Note the plastic was hard to work with and is soft. Only super glue will work and had a hard time with putty. Painting it was hard too. This kit is short of 7cm...*
