I started this project last August 11, 2010 after getting the 2nd hand 1/144 HG Cherudim Gundam from Immaterial of MP/GT forums. Since I only needed the 2nd Cherudim's rifle and right leg, I decided to do a battle-damaged theme to the 2nd Cherudim to compensate for the paintjob error in the original Cherudim's right leg. What came into my mind was the last battle between Cherudim Gundam and Gadessa in episode 25 of the anime. I chose that battle instead of the Cherudim Gundam and Arche Gundam's epic battle because Cherudim is more damaged and trashed in its last battle. Coming up with an idea on the custom base/dio was difficult because the battle was in space and mobile suits are just floating around. I also gave the Cherudim Gundam minimal weathering because i took the setting of the scene into consideration. This is my first time to weather and battle-damage an original Bandai kit, and my second time to make a dio. I love the weathering on the yellow chest vents and the scratches in the forearm. Too bad they are not that visible in the pictures.
