My first model kit. After many hours of research on the net I decided to use this model to test out what I had learnded on various modeling websites. Since my parents won't let me have an airbrush yet. I had to convince them to let me use Tamiya spray cans. I tried to stay with stock colors because of him being my favorite gundam from the anime. The colors used were: Brilliant blue, Matt white, Matt black, Italian red, Camel yellow, German grey, Neutral grey, and Gun metal. Panel lines were done with a Sakura micro pen and everything was clear coated with a Testors dullcote. I think I did quite well on my first kit.

I started on this model as well. Good Start, you can use cotton buds and lighter fluid to thin the lines on the face to give a sharper look :)

Looks awesome for your first model kit, my freedom was my second kit and looks nowhere near as good as that because i didnt use paint or gundam marker.

I think the "nip mark" is actually a panel line...there's one above each shoulder vent. Great job, man!

What is everyone talking about with seam lines and nip marks? All the nip marks and seams were sanded before painting began and the only reason this model was'nt shaded is because my parents won't let me have an airbrush just yet.

Hmmmah paint job looks good, but there's quite a bit of seam lines that are made more visible by the paint.

I know that most Junior category modelers on this site don't paint their kits but, I'm here to testify that he did paint this kit. And compared to the other 12 year old modelers I've seen in our hobby shops, he is by far one of the most advanced builders for his age.
