Hyaku Shiki (Char Aznable Custom)  Discussions »
I came up with many different color schemes in the planning stage but each one I came up with, I found a similar one had already been done. One that I found hard to find was Red. I began thinking what if Char Aznable kept up his tradition of color schemes when he recieved his Hyaku Shiki from Anaheim Electronics? And so the Char Custom for the Hyaku Shiki was born!

Being my first full attempt at a Master Grade, I decided to make a few simple modifications to the model using option parts.

The following modifications were made to the kit :

- LED put into the head unit to make the front visor and sensor window glow. The rear of the torso was carved out to house the watch battery to operate the LED.

- Replaced the leg pistons on the hydraulics with brass tubing.

- Replaced the power conduits with mesh chain.

I've done two LED mods and have documented them here : http://www.ghostofzeon.com/wip/mgshiki/index.html and: http://www.ghostofzeon.com/wip/bucue/bucuewip.html It's really a matter of making space in the head and at the same time, keeping it so the pieces can still be joined easily. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I was quite happy with the end result. Of course, I could do better though...
