The Longstreet: a slightly modified 1/100 MG RGM-79N and colored with Sharpies (boo...). It came out alright, it was pretty much the epitome of my sharpie-ing. I would like to rebuild someday with an actual paint job (right after all of my other projects...) Gun from a 1/144 EX-S BST model, power lines beads on wire. Stickers (bleah) from original kit.
Longstreet from the front. I think it still came out ok, even sharpied. The silver on the shield took the longest, and it wasn't very even, but it gave it kind of a beaten metal look. No, really. Trust me...

yeah, i know =) Like I said, I've moved on to more "serious" mediums, but it's a quick way to build a quick model, so it's not all bad. The only beef is you can only color darker than the underlying color or metallic. So, they tend to come out dark blacks, reds, blues, and metallics. Not that its such a bad scheme, just can't do much else with it.
Yea you'll find the models look alot better with a nice even coat. If you havn't exparemented with Sprays buy your self a nice and cheap model to mess with, after few of those you'll get the hang of it quick. Post em up, i want to see these Sharpie Models.
Lol thanks, this was one of my many kits in the PrePainting phase. I got pretty decent with Sharpies, but I'm definitely glad to be moving on to actual paints =P I'm going to be posting a few more sharpied soon just to show off the rest I've done.
