I started this kit almost 1 year ago, and stopped....just recently picked it up to finally finish it.
I almost never finished this kit because of a mishap with a Testors airbrush that led me to never use said airbrush again.
What I did was take the 1/100 scale Astray Red frame kit, and painted all of the parts using testors sprays. I decided to add some kind of custom weapon, so I made forearm mounted beam sabers, connected by wires. I also removed the backpack and connected the shield to its back. I know that the Astray Manga has apparently created their own Green frame suit, but I wasn't aware until recently, so I'll pretend that this is an alternate suit or another wepaons set up...
aside from the huge airbrush mishap, I think it came out ok, and I learned a lot, which is all that matters...

It looks a little sloppy in a couple areas, but it looks good overall. I really like how you got the highlights on the green armour. It really helps it stand out.
I can't really judge this model due to the photo but quite interested in whats in front of me now. This looks like a really interesting kit bash and custom paint job. Reguardless of the problems you have out lined I am sure it is a fine model. Let us know when the good photos are in...
I like you stealing Lucas's idea and rubbing vaseline over the lens of the camera before shooting! LOL, seriously, cool idea. I don't think the green is as bad as you think it is and I really like the Baraka / Epyon-esqe beam weapons!
